[Robert Forsyth]….continues to build an impressive list of US clients.

Client

Overview

I am a partner in the Employment team at Michelmores. I have specialised in Employment law for 18 years.

I deliver pragmatic solutions to complex issues, advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious law including defending or issuing employment tribunal claims; workplace investigations; restrictive covenants and enforcement/defence; TUPE and employment support on corporate transactions; corporate restructures involving employee redundancies and/or site closures; and employment support on outsourcing projects and real estate acquisitions/disposals.

I have a strong Tech sector focus and a particular interest in the effect of Artificial Intelligence on workforces (augmentation, variation and replacement of jobs) and the role of HR teams. I am also experienced in the Energy, Finance and Consumer Brands sectors.

I am experienced in handling international work for clients, having spent 6 months in Palo Alto co-ordinating cross-border employment advice for US Tech clients and 3 months in Doha, Qatar on secondment at the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority.

I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly contribute to publications and speak at events.

Away from work, I love watching rugby, skiing and walking in the countryside.
