Paul Beanlands

Overview

I’m a Partner in Michelmores’ Transactional Real Estate team, having joined from Nabarro (now part of CMS) in 2015. I worked in the Michelmores London office for two and a half years before moving to Bristol in October 2017. I still spend a significant amount of my time working in our London office.

I have extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property work, with a particular focus on acquisitions and disposals of investment and development properties, commercial and mixed-use development projects, and corporate occupier work. Over the last five years or so, I have gained increasing experience in acting on both mixed-use and energy driven deals, as well as advising landowners in respect of development opportunities.

I act for a broad range of clients, including institutional funds, developers, private investors, high-net-worth individuals/landowners and corporate tenants. I also enjoy working with smaller start-ups and developers, to help their businesses grow by assisting them with a full range of legal support.

I am an active part of the social and charity committees at Michelmores, having organised a team of 36 people to take on the Three Peaks Challenge in 2019, for our charity of the year. I am extremely passionate about the great culture and proud of the strong moral compass of the Firm.

Recent experience

Acting for a number of UK and overseas based developers on their mixed use and residential led developments across a variety of iconic parts of London, including Canary Wharf, Finsbury Park, Bishops Gate, Fulham and the Ram Brewery in Wandsworth

Acting for Titan Property Developments on a number of permitted development schemes around the home counties; including projects in Epsom, Reading, Horsham, Southampton, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Staines

Advising an institutional property developer on their acquisition and funding of a logistics site in Stevenage. Providing advice on the development management and profit share agreements

Acting for a high-net-worth family in respect of their letting of a property in south-east London to a Premiership football club for use as their academy training facility

Advising a variety of corporate occupiers on their office relocations, retail and leisure requirements including Deloitte LLP, Entrée, Fidel, Antofagasta Plc and the Really Local Group
