Michelmores’ prestigious Property Awards are returning for 2026, continuing their long-standing tradition of celebrating excellence across the West of England’s property, development and construction sectors. Submissions to the Michelmores Property Awards 2026 are now officially open.

Now firmly established as one of the region’s leading property accolades, the Awards continue to champion sustainability, innovation and quality across both commercial and residential projects. Social, environmental, sustainable and economic impact remain central to the judging criteria, sitting alongside design, delivery and overall purpose.

The 2026 Awards will recognise excellence across a broad range of project types and scales, reflecting the diversity and ambition of the West of England’s built environment. This year’s categories are:

  • Category 1 & 2 – Project of the Year
  • Category 3 – Regeneration Project of the Year
  • Category 4 – Education Project of the Year
  • Category 5 – Leisure and Tourism Project of the Year
  • Category 6 – Heritage Project of the Year
  • Category 7 – Residential Project of the Year (36 homes and over)
  • Category 8 – Residential Project of the Year (35 homes and under)
  • Category 9 – Building of the Year

Together, these categories highlight projects that demonstrate outstanding contribution to the region, from new developments and large-scale residential schemes to regeneration, heritage and community-focused buildings.

Shortlisted and winning projects benefit from significant industry recognition, with schemes placed firmly in the spotlight among peers, investors and decision-makers across the West of England. Previous winners have included landmark residential, education, leisure and mixed-use developments that exemplify innovation and best practice in the sector.

Applicants are invited to submit projects from across the West of England that were largely completed during 2025. The submission deadline for the Michelmores Property Awards 2026 is Thursday 5 March 2026.

Commenting on the launch of the 2026 Awards, Emma Honey, Head of Property at Michelmores, said:

“The Michelmores Property Awards continue to showcase the very best of what the West of England has to offer, and I am delighted to launch submissions for 2026. Each year, it is inspiring to see how the sector has grown and evolved – embracing new ideas, innovative approaches and an ever-stronger focus on sustainability and long-term impact. I am consistently impressed by the quality and ambition of the submissions, and I look forward to seeing the breadth of entries this year and to celebrating the achievements of our region’s property professionals.”

Paul Beanlands, Head of the Firm’s Bristol office, added:

“The Property Awards are about more than recognising outstanding buildings; they celebrate the people, collaboration and vision behind them. The West of England and Bristol in particular, remains a hub of creativity and progress within the property and construction sectors, and I am excited to see what this year’s entrants bring forward.”

The Michelmores Property Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on Thursday 25 June 2026, bringing together developers, consultants, contractors and advisers from across the region for an evening of celebration and networking.
