Overview

I’m a Senior Associate in Michelmores’ Transactional Real Estate team. I assist a diverse range of private and FTSE-listed companies, charities, local and central government bodies, blue-light service providers and individuals covering a broad range of commercial real estate work.

This includes asset management, freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions of commercial property and landed estates, granting and taking commercial leases, commercial development and secured lending.

I also specialise in renewables projects in providing assistance in dealing with all the property aspects relating to delivering fully functioning and fundable renewable energy parks from cradle to grave, acting for landowners, developers and funders in doing so.

Having joined Michelmores on qualification in 2012, I am proud to have been able to develop lasting relationships with my clients and provide links to support from within the wider Firm to assist with their needs. The collegiate and supportive atmosphere has undoubtedly been a key to delivering cross-practice support to our clients, whatever the matter.

Recent experience

Advising a leading regional brewery in implementing their acquisition strategy for Grade II listed and other unique character properties to their growing portfolio across the South West. This includes both asset and business purchases of operating pubs, restaurants and hotels

Negotiating in excess of forty renewable energy call options whilst acting on both sides of the table including several for one of the South West’s leading industry-scale solar PV developers and a number of landed estate owners including the associated pre-contract due diligence

Leading the project managing a central government body’s extensive national freehold and leasehold property portfolio. This included the disposal of an extensive development site in West London in excess of £40m after a formal tender process was held

Acting for a number of police authorities across the country where I am involved with the management and disposal of elements of their respective property portfolios

Assisting a national multi-storey car park operator in connection with the acquisition and management of leasehold premises across England

Supporting on the property element of due diligence carried out as part of the UK’s first fully-listed solar bond issue for £40m

Acting for a large corporate lender client dealing with bridging loans and other secured lending on agricultural properties across England and Wales
