Michelmores has advised BGF on its multi-million-pound investment in transport-led engineering and environmental consultancy Rappor.
Founded in 2014 by Adam Padmore, Rappor has grown into a nationwide consultancy employing 95 people across offices in Bristol, Bedford, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and London. The business supports more than 700 clients across strategic land, residential, commercial, industrial, retail and public sector projects.
The investment will support Rappor’s continued expansion across the UK, investment in its people and capabilities, and the development of its service offering.
The Michelmores team was led by Corporate Partner Adam Kean, alongside Senior Associate Ben Adams, and Associates Harry Jones and Hollie Halston (Corporate), as well as Managing Associate Danielle Collett-Bruce (Banking), Senior Associate Matt Warren (Employment), and Partner Tom Torkar (Commercial).
Alex Garfitt, Partner at BGF, said: “Michelmores provided excellent support throughout the transaction, working collaboratively with all parties to help deliver a successful outcome. Adam Kean and the wider team demonstrated a clear understanding of our objectives and were a pleasure to work with throughout the process.”
Adam Kean adds: “We were delighted to support BGF on this investment in Rappor. The business has achieved impressive growth and is well positioned for its next phase of expansion. We wish the BGF and Rappor teams every success for the future.”
The Michelmores team worked alongside Rob Brown and the team at Claritas, who advised BGF on the tax aspects of the transaction.
