Acting for the project company in relation to various issues arising out of the construction and operation of an acute hospital in the East of England, including liability for the costs of variation works and the contractor's liability to provide project documents.
Alternative Land Uses. Acting for a landowner in relation to its disposal of a large landholding adjacent to a major UK road incorporating a dry reservoir for the purposes of a new motorway services station, truck stop as well as business park. Helping an estate redevelop and lease a former clay pit to serve as an expansion reservoir for a water authority. Negotiating subsequently in relation to the grant of an option to a renewables developer for the erection of a new onshore wind farm development and battery storage facility.
Providing training to public authority Estate Directors in relation to their assessing the impact and devising strategy for the management of their strategic assets in relation to of Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards, including advising and keeping them updated on future policy trends and development and the interface with their corporate governance, regulatory responsibilities and ESG policies.
Town Planning/Planning Collaboration Agreements. Acting on the redevelopment of a well-known central London leisure and entertainment venue as part of one of London's largest regeneration schemes worth £2bn which is proceeding partially by way of CPO. Negotiating development, planning and infrastructure on the other side from one of the UK's most prominent commercial developers. Covered most matters within the specification of services, including neighbourly disputes and restrictive covenants, landlord and tenant issues, reports on title, appointments of consultants and contractors and dispute resolution.
