Overview

I am a Senior Associate in Michelmores’ Immigration team, with over 11 years of experience across a wide range of immigration matters. Prior to joining Michelmores, I trained and worked at a prestigious international law firm. My career has been defined by a commitment to delivering tailored strategic solutions for clients, ensuring their immigration goals are met with care and responsiveness.

I work with clients from across the globe, providing expert guidance to ultra-high-net-worth families, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and multinational organisations. My proven track record of success is built on understanding the unique needs of my clients and delivering bespoke immigration strategies. By collaborating closely with Michelmores’ Private Wealth, Employment, and Corporate teams, I ensure an integrated service that addresses every aspect of my clients’ needs.

I am a trusted advisor known for delivering long-term strategic guidance to clients throughout their immigration journey, from securing entry clearance visas for the UK to obtaining Indefinite Leave to Remain and British citizenship. I specialise in handling complex applications, particularly where visa or nationality requirements may not be met. I pride myself on applying a problem-solving approach to overcome challenges. Drawing on my extensive experience and technical knowledge, I create innovative solutions for each client’s unique circumstances, securing successful outcomes even in the most intricate cases and short timeframes.

I provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of business immigration, supporting both employers and employees with matters including sponsor licence applications, visa processing, and compliance requirements. For businesses, I have guided organisations and HR teams in meeting sponsor licence obligations, navigating corporate restructuring, preparing for Home Office compliance visits, and securing expedited Certificates of Sponsorship. For business individuals, I specialise in facilitating swift relocations and visa processing for CEOs, specialist staff from overseas offices, new hires, interns, and their families, delivering a seamless process for all involved.

I advise on all aspects of UK immigration including Investor, Entrepreneur, Innovator, Ten-Year Long Residence, Global Talent, UK Expansion Worker, Sole Representative, Skilled Worker, Student, Spouse, UK Ancestry, and Visitor visa applications.

My expertise extends to discretionary applications for British citizenship, particularly in cases where clients have spent significant time outside of the UK. I also have in-depth experience with the renunciation and reinstatement of British citizenship, offering clear guidance through these complex processes.

I work closely with the Passport Office to assist clients with obtaining their first British passports, renewing existing passports, and securing second British passports. I also specialise in managing urgent applications to help new passports be issued swiftly when time is of the essence.

Beyond UK immigration, I work closely with overseas lawyers to support clients in obtaining citizenship in countries such as Malta, Portugal, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, and Antigua and Barbuda. This international experience enables me to provide a holistic service for individuals seeking dual citizenship or alternative residence options.

I am passionate about my work and would be delighted to arrange a meeting to discuss how I can assist. My expertise in handling complex cases, combined with my commitment to being responsive and accessible at all times has earned me a strong reputation as one of the leading immigration solicitors in the UK. I take pride in delivering exceptional client care and achieving outstanding results.

Recent experience

Advising a UHNW client who invested over £1 billion into the UK to obtain British citizenship in highly exceptional circumstances. This resulted in the citizenship application being approved within three weeks of being submitted. The usual processing time is six months

Working with an entrepreneur and liaising with the Home Office to have his Indefinite Leave to Remain application approved within two weeks to facilitate urgent business travel for a business turning over £3 million a year. The usual processing time for such applications is six months

Developed and executed a strategy for a HNW client to secure Indefinite Leave to Remain under the Ten-Year Long Residence rules. This involved meticulous analysis of her historic visas, absences, and future travel plans to ensure success

Advising a client to have his Indefinite Leave to Remain reinstated, relying on his residence in the UK in the 1990s. The client noted that none of the other advisors he met from leading firms had even considered the possibility of relying on his earlier residence in the UK

Helping Russian and Iranian clients to obtain Visitor visas for the UK. These were complex applications as they had previously prepared the applications by themselves and received several refusals

Secured a Global Talent endorsement for a Turkish actor, facilitating his relocation to the UK. This involved a detailed review of his professional achievements and strong evidence from UK-based production companies and agents

Reviewing a wealth management fund’s compliance with legal right to work requirements, then formulating and implementing a strategy to minimise their exposure to potential fines and adverse publicity

Advising the partner of a British actor obtain a Spouse visa, overcoming challenges posed by the partner’s significant periods of stay in the UK as a Visitor

Helping an NHS junior doctor to unblock her Graduate visa application which had been pending for 18 months

Advising an international cryptocurrency business on relocating an executive to open a UK office under the UK Expansion Worker visa category

Securing Indefinite Leave to Remain for a client and her son, despite the husband’s absence due to overseas business commitments. This was a complex application as the Immigration Rules usually require both parents to obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain before their children would be eligible for the same. I carefully analysed the family’s circumstances, compiled a detailed bundle of evidence, and liaised with the Home Office to help ensure this application was approved
