Gail graduated from the University of Exeter in 2010 having read European Law. She went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England, and after successfully completing her training contract in Wiltshire in 2013, returned to Exeter to join Michelmores in 2014.
Gail is an Associate in the Real Estate team and works with both local and national house builders on a range of commercial property, land and development matters - from land acquisition for residential development through to site assembly for plot sale and affordable housing disposal. Gail also advises in commercial landlord and tenant matters and has experience acting for both private and commercial clients.
- Supporting lead Partners Lucy Smallwood and Emma Honey in the acquisition of residential development sites on behalf of both substantial regional and national property developers, often structured by way of conditional contracts and option agreements.
- Supporting regional property developers on several large site assemblies and management company structuring, involving multi-disciplinary advice from the real estate transactional, planning and commercial teams.
- Working with regional property developers on phased affordable housing disposals.
- Advising a local housebuilder and promoter in connection with a contract for sale conditional on planning permission involving back to back sub-sale and a series of complex undertakings.
