Michelmores is delighted to announce it is the winner of Corporate Law Firm of the Year at this year’s Insider South West Dealmaker Awards.
The awards, held in Bristol last night, celebrate the region’s top dealmakers of the year and highlight excellence in business. The awards bring together lawyers, accountants, bankers and financiers for a celebratory evening.
Michelmores is one of eight leading law firms in Bristol and the wider region to have been shortlisted.
Head of Corporate and Senior Partner, Richard Cobb commented:
‘2020 was a year like no other. Despite the immediate impact of the first lockdown, we ended the year celebrating a string of successful completions, and as a Firm, one of our strongest performances to date. We have acted on a number of significant deals in the region, including the acquisition of Mindful Chef by Nestlé and the £115m Takeover of Haynes Publishing Group PLC. We also launched MAINstream, our business angel network, and developed MiVentures which is focused on early-stage businesses. To win this major award for a record third time is a real endorsement of the fantastic team we have brought together, and I’d like to thank everyone in the team for helping us achieve it’.
In addition to winning ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’, Michelmores was also shortlisted for ‘Deal of the Year’.
