Michelmores expands Private Wealth offering with expertise in reduced mental capacity

Michelmores welcomes Senior Associate, Holly Mieville-Hawkins to its Private Wealth team. Holly’s area of specialism is in wealth management for those with reduced mental capacity and she has spent the last nine years building an extensive practice in this area. Her expertise goes hand in hand with her passionate defence of the rights of people who lack the ability to make certain decisions for themselves and she has chosen a career that enables her to work on their behalf. Holly also represents the families, deputies, and attorneys of vulnerable and elderly people.

Alongside her practice, Holly has dedicated her expertise to helping to shape policy regarding mental capacity law. She is a founding member of the practitioner group that established the Mediation in the Court of Protection pilot scheme, and is currently a member of the Wills and Equity Committee at the Law Society; a member of the South West Court of Protection Practitioners Association, and a stakeholder at the Office of the Public Guardian.

Peter Sigler, Head of Private Clients at Michelmores said:

‘We are delighted to welcome Holly to the Firm. Her work to champion the rights of vulnerable people and those who’ve suffered life-changing injury is very inspiring as are the testimonials to her exceptional levels of client care. Holly will join our dedicated team of experts and will broaden our private wealth specialism.’
