Despite the cold and wet February weather, the inaugural Michelmores and Partners& 5‑a‑side Corporate Finance Football Tournament was a resounding success; bringing together colleagues from across Bristol’s Corporate Finance community and raising over £1,500 for Broadway Lodge, an addiction treatment centre based in Weston‑Super‑Mare.
On 5 February 2026, hosted at Imperial Sports Grounds, thirteen teams battled it out in a competitive but good‑spirited tournament. We were delighted to welcome players from: Albert Goodman, Bishop Fleming, BGF, Deloitte, Hazelwoods, Integrity365, PKF‑Francis Clark, Rathbones, Santander, Shaw & Co, Switch Health, Partners&, and our own Michelmores team.
After a closely contested competition, Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants lifted the trophy.
Reflecting on the day, Ben Adams, Senior Associate at Michelmores, said:
“We all thought it was a great event and there certainly seems to be an appetite for a future tournament. We’re already planning the next one for 26 July, so watch this space!”
Simon Haynes, Chief Financial Officer at Partners&, added:
“We’re thrilled with the way the teams came together. The positive spirit and commitment to braving the torrential weather by all was impressive! We had a great time too, raising money for a great cause.”
We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Partners& to deliver this event and to support such an important cause together.
If you’d like to be involved in our next tournament (July 2026), please get it touch with Ben Adams and Harry Jones.
