We’re kicking off the 2024 cycling season with an exciting opportunity to connect with our local cycling community. Join us for the launch of the Women’s Cycling Team, Nouvelles Cycling x Prendas, at our Exeter office on Wednesday 17 April.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Special Guest: Hear from the renowned author and journalist, Chris Sidwells, who will share insights into the world of pro-cycling and regale us with anecdotes from his many interviews with the likes of Merckx, Cavendish, Wiggins and more.
- Meet the elite: We’ll be joined by members of the newly launched Nouvelles Cycling x Prendas elite team. Hear first-hand from manager, David Walters, about the vision and motivation behind this new inspiring venture.
- Auction of rare memorabilia: Hosting an exciting and exclusive auction will be former Exeter Chiefs player and raconteur, Chris Bentley. For a sneak peak at the items, see below.

About the Nouvelles Cycling x Prendas Team
The team was initially founded in 2014 at the University of Exeter. It focuses on U23 female riders, facilitating the transition from UK racing to the professional cycling scene. Michelmores has been a supporter of this initiative from the outset, and we’re pleased to have this opportunity to support the team further.
Auction
Bid on some rare memorabilia to support the Nouvelles Cycling x Prendas Team, including:
- A very rare and prestigious signed Tom Simpson World Champion framed photograph. Britain’s first Tour de France leader and first male World Champion
- A Bradley Wiggins jersey from the Six Days of Ghent (an event he has called his favourite!)
- A front seat in the Nouvelles Cycling x Prendas Team car at the most prestigious and oldest UK race, the Lincoln GP, on 12 May 2024. A chance to see it all up close and personal!
