Congratulations to The General, Bristol – winner of Heritage Project of the Year, sponsored by Kier

The General, a project submitted by Hydrock, is a multi-use development in the heart of Bristol which saw the transformation of the former Bristol General Hospital into over 200 one to four-bedroom apartments. Some of the properties, which include a converted chapel and a penthouse apartment in the famous octagonal tower, are set around a central courtyard, whilst others offer views across the Bathurst Basin.

The winners were announced at an Awards Dinner on Thursday 15 June at the University of Exeter, hosted by comedian and actor Marcus Brigstocke.
