The winners of the 15th annual Michelmores Property Awards have been revealed, celebrating outstanding property and construction projects in Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Dorset and Cornwall, across ten categories.
City Hall, a project submitted by Alec French Architects, is a Grade II listed building, commissioned by Bristol City Council as its HQ in the 1930s. 2016 saw the comprehensive remodelling of the building to create a contemporary and agile working environment for staff and partner organisations, with increased access to the public. The refurbishment process comprised extensive redesigning to workspaces across five floors, including repairing original heritage building features and adapting building services in line with 21st century working practices.
The winners were announced at an Awards Dinner on Thursday 15 June at the University of Exeter, hosted by comedian and actor Marcus Brigstocke.
