Solicitor – Admitted 2007
Louise’s knowledge and professionalism made the process smooth and stress-free. She kept us informed at every stage of the process, and addressed our queries, however large or small, promptly and in a way that was clear and put to rest any worries that we might have had. We would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone else.
Louise came highly recommended to us and she made everything so clear and concise, and took all the stress out of the process. She reassured us when we needed reassuring and constantly chased the other solicitor, so the transaction went through smoothly and in record time. Louise is incredibly efficient and was always there to proactively answer our questions. Louise’s personal touch made us feel like our transaction mattered and that we weren’t ‘just another case’, which made a refreshing change.
This is the second time that Louise has helped me to move homes. I know she has acted for many of my teammates in the past who have all also recommended her. With me not having a clue what I am doing, it’s very easy to sit back and let Louise take over. She is straight forward, easy to work with making it totally stress-free for myself. Happy to recommend her to anyone.
Proactive doesn’t even begin to describe Louise – she was always one step ahead. Thank you so much for all your hard work!
Overview
I’m a Partner and Head of Michelmores’ Residential Property Team, as well as Head of our New Homes Team. I act for a wide range of clients — from first-time buyers and investors to those purchasing large country estates — and advise on residential property transactions across England and Wales.
I have particular expertise in buying and selling high-end residential properties, complex rural estates, and transactions with more intricate considerations, both in London and the South West. I also work closely with our Private Wealth group to support clients with effective tax planning where needed.
In my role leading the New Homes Team, I’m regularly recommended by developers across the country to act for their buyers. I have significant experience in the Retirement Living sector, offering tailored advice for clients looking to downsize or relocate later in life.
I joined Michelmores in 2004 as a Trainee Solicitor after studying Law at the University of Exeter. With over 20 years of experience in the property market, I take a practical, straightforward approach to conveyancing, always with a personal touch. I’ve built strong relationships with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and local solicitors, which helps ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.
I genuinely love getting to know my clients and their families, and pride myself on forming long-lasting relationships — many of my clients return time and again, often across generations.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my grandchildren, exploring Dartmoor with my three dogs (who definitely think they’re in charge), and looking after my ever-growing gang of Pygmy Goats on our smallholding — never a dull moment!
