Ellen Hambly

Overview

I am an Associate in the Tax, Trusts & Succession team.

I work closely with the highly experienced qualified lawyers in my team to provide support and assistance to the range of clients we advise. My work requires me to provide support on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters with a focus on wills and trusts disputes, including validity, 1975 Act claims and proprietary estoppel claims.

I have experience in both contentious and non-contentious elements of Private Client work, having previously worked closely with our Family and Tax, Trusts and Succession teams on a variety of domestic and international work, including estate planning, will drafting, tax considerations and nuptial agreements.

My journey with Michelmores is in its infancy, but my training has been a rewarding and valuable experience so far. I’ve sat in all three of Michelmores’ departments (Private Client, Real Estate and Business) and gained a lot from them. I look forward to continuing to work closely with our fantastic clients and colleagues as I approach qualification in September 2023.

Assisting in providing tailored advice to a large regional employer relating to inter-personal work dynamics, grievance policies and procedures

Supporting on an unfair dismissal Employment Tribunal claim for a large national employer

Acting for an individual client in respect of an unlawful deduction from wages claim

Assisting on a discrimination claim against a school in the Employment Tribunal
