Michelmores Solicitors has re-affirmed its support for the manufacturing sector by renewing its sponsorship of the Insider Magazine ‘Made in the South West’ Awards 2014.

Now in their third year, these prestigious awards celebrate the very best of South West manufacturing. They are a showcase for the region and its diverse manufacturing industries’ ranging from aerospace and defence powerhouses, to niche artisan food brands.

The winners of the eight categories will be announced at the Marriot Hotel, Bristol, on Thursday 6th November. Previous winner have included Thatchers Cider, Burts Crisps, Aero Stanrew and GKN Aerospace. South West winners who have gone on to take awards at the national ‘Made in the UK’ Awards have included Vi-Spring, Wyke Farms and Butcombe Brewery. 

In addition to these awards, Michelmores also sponsored the Made in the Devon Insider Breakfast held in Exeter in June.  The firm also sponsors the MADE manufacturers group in conjunction with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Exeter Science Park, and is a sponsor of the Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology (ExIST).

Categories for the Made in the South West Awards 2014 include Manufacturing Innovation, Aerospace/Defence, Apprenticeship & Training Award, Exporter of the Year, Sustainable Manufacturer, Food and Drink, Advanced Manufacturer, Manufacturing Company of the Year.
