Michelmores has opened the application window for charities who wish to partner with the Firm from May 2023. Partnerships will last for two years and each of the Firm’s five offices will be able to vote to choose their own partner. The new process moves away from the Firm’s current one-charity approach. It aims to encourage interactive partnerships that enable colleagues to spend more time engaging with and helping their local communities.
Louise Edwards, Marketing Director explained:
“Our charity partnerships are one of the ways we are contributing to a more positive future for everyone. At Michelmores we’re keen to be involved with our local communities and to have an impact on the environments in which we live and work. We would really like to hear from charities that are local to one of our five offices in Exeter, Bristol, London, Cheltenham and Sidmouth and can offer our colleagues the opportunity to give something back and get involved on a personal level.”
The Firm’s current charity partnership with the fantastic mental health charity, The Charlie Waller Trust, will draw to a close at the end of April. The Trust was selected by an overwhelming majority by Michelmores’ people, a few years ago.
Louise Edwards continued:
“Our relationship with The Charlie Waller Trust came at a time when the working and personal lives of many of us radically changed due to Covid. We really benefitted from the Trust’s mental health resources and expertise. From workshops and seminars to guides and activities, The Trust supported us and made a positive contribution to our wellbeing for which we are very grateful. In return we are delighted to have raised over £39,000 so far which will go towards the Trust’s vital work supporting those who help care for young people’s mental health.
Our goal is to create similarly strong relationships with the charities we choose to partner with for 2023-2025.”
The window for charities wishing to apply for a Michelmores charity partnership closes at 17.00 on Friday, 10 February 2023. Shortlisted charities will be put forward to a vote, with the successful charities being informed during the week beginning Monday, 3 April 2023, and the new partnerships commencing on Monday, 1 May.
