The 2016 Michelmores Property Awards shortlist is revealed

The shortlist has been announced for the 2016 Michelmores Property Awards, which showcase and celebrate the very best of the South West's property and construction industry.

This year the annual awards, sponsored by accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson, received a record number of entries from property developers, building contractors, architects and other industry professionals across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.

Partner Mike Lea of sponsors Smith & Williamson, said:

“The standard is extremely high again this year, reflecting the talent and diversity of projects in this region. We are delighted to support this important industry event and we look forward to congratulating the winners on the night.”

Andrew Maynard, Client Services Director at Michemores and Chair of the Judging Panel said:

"The quality of the entries we received this year was of an extremely high level, spread across a number of sectors and demonstrates the overall strength of our South West economy.

"I was impressed by the remarkable buildings which are home to some highly innovative organisations − particularly in the education sector.  These organisations offer a highly specialised learning environment focusing on technology and the sciences, creating cutting edge job opportunities and encouraging further investment into the South West.

"We also saw some brilliant projects in the residential and commercial sectors, highlighting the great skill of the people behind the region's property and construction industry."

The winners will be announced at an Awards Dinner on Thursday 26 May 2016 at Sandy Park Conference Centre in Exeter.
