The Michelmores 5k Charity Run 2024 returned on Thursday 12 September 2024, this year taking place at Exeter’s buzzing Quayside and welcoming 100 runners, as well as volunteers and supporters. Participants were out in force, joining together with colleagues to represent their businesses, or running solo to support a fantastic charity.

The event, which has raised more than £365,000 in its 23-year history so far, was this year held in aid of Michelmores’ charity partner, FearFree. All funds raised by the event will support FearFree, who are working to break the cycle of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, across the South West. This year we raised a whopping £28,312.7 for FearFre.

Prize categories and winners of the 2024 Michelmores 5K Charity Run 2024 include:

Biggest Team Pencarrie
Fastest Corporate Team based on the top 4 fastest runners (mixed-gender) Michelmores
Fastest Running Club based on the top 2 fastest runners Always moving

Fastest Female (aged 49 or under) Daisy Wright
Fastest Female Veteran (aged 50+) Catherine Parkinson

Tim Richards, Managing Partner of Michelmores, commented:

“It was fantastic to bring our Charity Run back this year at an exciting new location, Exeter’s historic quay. My congratulations to our prize-winners, and to all those who showed their support – from our sponsors and those who donated prizes, to our volunteers and, of course, all of our runners.

“It’s fantastic to come together as a community to raise awareness and funds for FearFree. Please do support our JustGiving page and this fantastic charity which does such important work to support people affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.”
