Michelmores has announced its new charity partners across Bristol, Cambridge, Cheltenham, London and Exeter, while also celebrating the significant funds raised for its previous charity partners over recent years.
Over the 2023–2026 partnership period, colleagues supported St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol, Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court in Cheltenham, FearFree in Exeter and St Giles Trust in London, raising close to £100,000 for communities across the UK.
From 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2029, Michelmores will support a new group of charity partners, selected following Firm‑wide nominations and a staff vote. The partnerships form a key part of the Firm’s Destination 2030 strategy – Significance of Impact – which focuses on making a positive and lasting contribution to the communities in which the Firm operates.
Charity support will include fundraising, volunteering and awareness‑raising initiatives, with colleagues encouraged to get involved in ways that play to their skills and interests.
New charity partners
Bristol – Young Lives vs Cancer
Young Lives vs Cancer supports children and young people (0-25) diagnosed with cancer, helping them feel informed, empowered and supported through specialist social care, financial assistance and free accommodation. The charity also works to drive long‑term systemic change, ensuring families can access equitable and sustainable support.
Cambridge – The Angels Foundation UK
The Angels Foundation UK helps survivors of domestic abuse navigate some of the most significant changes in their lives. Through practical support, counselling, therapy and recovery programmes, the charity empowers individuals and families to move from crisis to independence, creating safer, healthier and more positive futures. Since 2020, the Foundation has supported more than 1,000 families affected by domestic abuse across Cambridgeshire. It is currently delivering Project Skylark, an OPCC‑funded domestic abuse recovery programme, to help survivors rebuild confidence, resilience and independence.
Cheltenham – Young Gloucestershire
Young Gloucestershire supports young people facing challenges in their lives through mental health support, education, skills development and mentoring. Using a youth‑work approach, the charity builds trusted relationships that empower young people to shape their futures. The partnership offers opportunities for both fundraising and volunteering, aligning closely with Michelmores’ social mobility and wellbeing priorities.
London – Ben Kinsella Trust
Founded after the tragic murder of Ben Kinsella in 2008, the Ben Kinsella Trust tackles knife crime through education, campaigning and advocacy. The charity has engaged more than 45,000 young people through its purpose‑built exhibitions and supports many thousands more through free online resources, working collaboratively to drive collective action on knife crime prevention.
Exeter & Sidmouth – Hospiscare
This local hospice charity works across Exeter, central and east Devon, providing compassionate end‑of‑life care and support to patients and their loved ones. Its mission is to help people living with life‑limiting illnesses live as well as possible, for as long as possible, with dignity, comfort and compassion.
Michelmores would like to thank everyone who nominated charities and contributed to fundraising activity over the years. Every contribution has helped make a meaningful difference, and the Firm looks forward to building long‑term, impactful partnerships with its new charity partners.
