The 2025 Michelmores 5K Charity Run returned to Exeter’s historic Quayside on Thursday 11 September with a sell-out crowd of runners and supporters, raising vital funds for South West charity FearFree.
The event brought together over 1,000 people from across the region for an evening of sport, community, and purpose. Now in its 24th year, the Michelmores 5K has become a staple in the local calendar.
Hosted by former Exeter Chiefs rugby player Chris Bentley, the run was supported by local businesses, running clubs, families and friends – all united in support of FearFree’s essential work with individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, and stalking. Thanks to the incredible support of participants, donors and sponsors, the event has now raised over £400,000 for charities since it began.
This year’s winners were:
Category | Winner |
Fastest Male (49 & under) | Morgan Kendall – Oxygen House |
Fastest Female (49 & under) | Caitlin Apps – Market Carpets |
Fastest Male Veteran (50+) | Richard Daniels – Landmark Information Group |
Fastest Female Veteran (50+) | Cathy Parkinson – Stags |
Fastest Young Runner (14–17) | Jack Hutton – Baker Estates |
Fastest Corporate Team | Michelmores |
Fastest Running Club (top 2) | Greenbow Running Club |
Biggest Team | Oxygen House |
All funds raised from this year’s Run go directly to FearFree, a charity that supports more than 10,000 adults and children annually across the South West. Donations are still open and can be made via the official JustGiving page.
