Christian Massey joins Michelmores to expand the Firm’s Private Wealth Offering

We are pleased to announce the expansion of our Private Wealth offering with a new team that will oversee Private Property and Landed Estates. The team will be led by Christian Massey, who joins as a Partner from Charles Russell Speechlys.

Christian previously worked at Michelmores in the 1990s and will work alongside Partners Tom Hyde and Philip Wolfgang. Christian has extensive experience in managing a broad range of high value and sensitive private property work nationally, including complex landed estates, agricultural and country house property transactions as well as high value London private property work. His client base comprises both national and international high net worth private individuals, including substantial landowners, entrepreneurs, farmers, trustees, charities and financial institutions.

Jennifer Ridgway, Head of Private Wealth, highlighted the importance of the expansion of the Private Wealth group:

“The profile of Private Wealth at Michelmores has grown from strength-to-strength on a national and international level in recent years. Christian will be a fantastic addition to the Private Wealth group, and brings with him a breadth of experience that will enhance our offering to clients in the private wealth sector.”

Commenting on his appointment, Christian Massey said:

“I am thoroughly delighted to be re-joining the Michelmores private wealth team after twenty years away and am excited to be part of a hugely talented, experienced and growing national private wealth firm. It was during my time at Michelmores in the 1990’s that the spark for looking after landed estates and rural property work was first lit, and I have since extended my expertise over the years for both Vendors and Purchasers.”

Christian is Chambers HNW 2020 UK ranked for high value residential property and also Spears 500 ranked as “Top Recommended 2020, Lawyers Beyond London”.
