Michelmores awards 2017 Land Law prize to three students

Michelmores has awarded three students at the University of Exeter with its 2017 Land Law prize, for achieving the highest results in their year.

Mollie Gascoigne, Rosa Schofield and Yuki Yue all received an impressive mark of 74% in their Land Law module.

The Firm has been awarding the prize to the student or students with the best performance on the Land Law course at the University of Exeter for over 20 years.

Mollie, Rosa and Yuki were presented with a certificate and cheque for their achievement at a celebratory lunch at Michelmores’ Exeter office – joined by Partner Joanna Damerell and Trainee Solicitor Alice Spicer Edwards.

Commenting on her achievement, Mollie said:

“I was pleasantly surprised to win the Land Law Prize and would like to thank Michelmores for the prize and Joanna, Christa and Alice for their insight over lunch. I would also like to thank Christina Walton in particular who was invaluable to my learning throughout the module. Following graduation, I hope to pursue further study in law and politics.”

Rosa commented:

“I was delighted to win Michemores’ Land Law prize, and was so lucky to have had Christina Walton as my land law teacher. She made sure we were completely confident in every aspect of the course. Having the opportunity to speak to current trainees at Michelmores in an informal setting really gave me an insight into life at the Firm. I left with lots of questions to think about!”

Yuki commented:

“I am thrilled to have received the Land Law Award from Michelmores, and I would like to thank all those who supported me throughout the process. Studying is not about the result, but rather the everyday learning that builds you towards a better person. I hope everyone can see learning not as a grade, but as part of growing up every day.”
