The shortlist has been announced for the 2017 Michelmores Property Awards, which celebrate outstanding property and construction projects in Bristol, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Cornwall, across ten categories.

A panel of ten judges with expertise across the property and construction sector and in-depth knowledge of the region, came together for the judging day on 24 March to shortlist an impressive list of submissions.

The shortlisted projects for Category 8: Residential Project of the Year 40 Units and Under are:

Cedar Court, Rockbeare, Exeter – submitted by Jameson Homes

Cedar Court is a residential development in Rockbeare, near Exeter which comprises eight individually designed three, four and five-bedroom homes. The homes are set within a secure, private environment with spacious landscaped gardens, private parking, garages and countryside views.

Stafford Close, Christow, Devon – submitted by Mitchell Architects

Stafford Close in Christow is a development of 18 highly energy efficient Passivhaus standard homes, based within Dartmoor National Park. 14 of the homes are designated as affordable rented housing for local people, managed by Teign Housing, with the remaining four homes to be sold on the open market at a reduced market value.

Stannary Gardens, Chagford, Devon – submitted by Blue Cedar Homes

Based within Dartmoor National Park, the Stannary Gardens development is set in the heart of Chagford, offering six spacious two-bedroom apartments and nine three and four-bedroom homes. Each property is individually designed for the over 55’s market and can be easily adapted for increased accessibility in the future.

The Mill, Habertonford, Totnes – submitted by Poppy Developments

The Mill in Habertonford near Totnes saw the preservation of an historic Grade II listed former woollen mill built in 1769, redeveloping the building into seven new homes over-looking the Harbourne River. The homes, which range from three to seven bedrooms, pay careful attention to historic details and aim to capture the original character of the Mill.
