I want to express my appreciation for all your hard work, long hours and patience. You have been marvellous.

Client Quote

Just a very quick update note and to say a massive  ‘thank you’ for all your invaluable support and advice this past year.  Without all your help, I really don’t think that I could have coped.

Client Quote

Once again many thanks for all your help and support during the whole process. It was good to know that I was in safe, professional hands and I am really pleased with the outcome.

Client Quote

I would like to say how fantastic Yuliya has been, I can only say that she has just been outstanding dealing with the endless problems and hurdles along the way. She was especially great at keeping me grounded when things were getting very stressed and heated… I am over the moon now that things have finally been settled.

Overview

I am a Senior Associate in Michelmores’ Family Team. I have been working in Family Law since 2015 and was previously employed by another national firm.

I have vast experience in financial remedy cases and disputes involving children, domestic abuse and enforcement proceedings. I have been working with high net worth and international clients in cross-border cases which has allowed me to develop my experience and knowledge in international family law including cases involving international child abduction, enforcement of foreign orders in England and Wales and English and Welsh orders in other jurisdictions, financial disputes over foreign assets and international relocation. I also advise clients in respect of domestic violence and making applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.

I had day-to-day conduct of a case involving the enforcement of international maintenance arrears which was heard in the Court of Appeal due to the complex issues of international law raised and a High Court case involving child abduction.

I am a litigation specialist focusing on:

  • complex financial remedy proceedings involving farming partnerships, companies, trusts, QROPS, loans from family/friends, and international assets and clients;
  • enforcement and variation of final orders;
  • enforcement of foreign orders and jurisdiction disputes;
  • enforcing compliance with the court process and orders including contempt applications, penal notices and third parties’ debt orders;
  • children cases that involve child abduction, allegations of domestic abuse which require Fact Finding Hearings and parental alienation;
  • cohabitation disputes and Schedule 1 of the Children Act proceedings (financial provision for children).

That said, I also undertake non-contentious work such as preparing and advising clients on pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements. I frequently undertake out of court negotiations and preparing consent orders to formalise parties’ financial claims when an agreement is reached between them.

My article on international service was published in the Resolution journal for family lawyers (Resolution is the national organisation of family lawyers) of which I am a member.

I am a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Complex Financial Remedies (high income and assets) and International Family Law. I sit on the Bristol Young Resolution Committee.

I speak fluent Russian.
