Overview
I’m an External Communications Executive at Michelmores, specialising in external communications that shape and promote the Firm’s voice in the market. With over a decade of experience spanning journalism, government advisory, and legal marketing, I bring a strong editorial eye and strategic mindset to media relations, press releases, thought leadership, and brand campaigns.
I work closely with lawyers across the Firm to create clear, engaging content that communicates our expertise, supports business development, and enhances our reputation – whether through award submissions, legal insights, external announcements, or public-facing campaigns. My focus is ensuring that what we say externally reflects the calibre of our legal work and the strength of our client relationships.
Prior to joining Michelmores, I worked for the New Zealand Government in communications and advisory roles, supporting national efforts to improve outcomes for children and families. My work centred on evidence-based policy, research dissemination, and cross-sector collaboration – experience that shaped my ability to communicate clearly, credibly, and with purpose.
Earlier in my career, I lived and worked in Berlin, leading editorial content for global design and media brands. I hold a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy, which informs my analytical approach and deepens my understanding of policy, ethics, and the wider societal context in which law and communications intersect.
