Solicitor – Admitted 2005
Overview
I am a Senior Associate in the Governance & Risk team at Michelmores focusing on risk advisory, regulatory compliance, data protection, and commercial matters. I lead the Firm’s in-house function for Data Protection and Commercial Contracts and hold the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PC.dp.), which underpins my expertise in this area. I also advise on governance, supply chain risk, and international standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, with an emphasis on embedding best practice and quality management into the Firm’s operations.
My background as a corporate solicitor provides a strong foundation for my current role. I combine transactional and contractual experience with compliance insight to deliver advice that is clear, practical, and commercially grounded. I go beyond purely technical answers, helping the Firm make confident, risk-aware decisions. My approach is pragmatic and solutions-driven, ensuring legal and risk advice supports both regulatory obligations and wider business objectives.
Within Michelmores, I am a member of the Governance & Risk Committee and the COFA Committee, contributing to governance, financial oversight, and risk management. I am also active externally through the City of London Law Society’s AI Committee and the Society for Computers and Law, which keeps me engaged with developments in law, regulation, and technology.
My combined expertise in corporate transactions and regulatory compliance enables me to help senior management strengthen governance, manage risk, and pursue growth with confidence.
