Solicitor – Admitted 1982
I am a Partner and Head of Michelmores’ Immigration practice.
I have now specialised in all aspects of Immigration and citizenship law for more than 35 years, successfully acting for businesses and individuals from all over the world, whatever their size or financial circumstances. And after all these years I still get a thrill every time I achieve a positive outcome for my clients. I firmly believe that my success is down to my thoroughness and attention to detail.
I am known for my work on complex immigration and citizenship matters, especially for High Net Worth individuals from all corners of the globe. My previous experience at the start of my career as a corporate lawyer gives me an added insight when advising investors, wealth managers, entrepreneurs and overseas businesses setting up in the UK and expanding into mainland Europe.
Over the years I have contributed to the development of official immigration policy, sitting on various Home Office working groups and advising in Parliament. Amongst the issues that I have contributed to are the prevention of illegal working legislation and the development of the original points-based system.
I am well placed to advise businesses on compliance and risk issues under the sponsor licence system, as well as the prevention of illegal working legislation.
I also advise clients on British citizenship law, human rights cases and those involving EU law, criminality and exclusion from the UK.
I am ranked in Band 1 for Immigration in Chambers High Net Worth, recognised as a ‘Leading Individual’ by the Legal 500 and listed as a ‘Top Recommended’ lawyer for Immigration Law in Spear’s 500.
