Solicitor – Admitted 2020
[Lydia] took a very pro-active position with the Land Registry, whilst at the same time guiding and advising us through our [Application].. If we had a query, then it was usually expertly dealt with that same day. We could not have asked for a better or more personal service.
Thank you very much for your work on our behalf over the last six months. As you gathered we had reached the end of our patience dealing with the problem and the legal brick wall that had been erected in front of us. We are impressed with your work and for finding a simpler legal route than the complex and impossible one previously set out.
Thank you for all your help, it was so speedy at a really difficult time for everyone just after Christmas, and just what we needed.
Overview
I began my career at Michelmores in 2018, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2020 before being promoted to Associate in 2023. I hold a first-class honours degree in Human Geography (BA) from the University of Exeter and achieved distinctions in both the GDL and LPC (LLM) at the University of Law in Guildford.
I advise a broad range of clients on commercial and residential property matters. My experience includes statutory and non-statutory lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, boundary disputes, possession proceedings, claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, professional negligence, title issues, easements, dilapidations and forfeiture. More recently, I have been advising clients on the legislative changes introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act.
In 2022, I undertook a secondment to a public limited company, where I supported the in-house legal team on a wide range of commercial and property-focused matters.
I recognise the importance of being accessible and aim to minimise the pressures of litigation by clearly explaining each stage of the process and providing pragmatic, strategic advice to enable clients to make informed decisions.
Clients have praised my solutions-focused approach and personable service, commenting: “We are impressed with your work and for finding a simpler legal route than the complex and impossible one previously set out” and “We could not have asked for a better or more personal service.”
I am a member of the Property Litigation Association.
