Overview
I’m a Senior Associate in the Transactional Real Estate team, advising on diverse aspects of commercial and agricultural property. I assist a broad range of clients including private landlords, tenants, landowners, developers, company directors, pension scheme administrators across a variety of different sectors.
I am part of the Energy Team at Exeter specialising in advising large landowners in connection with granting long-term leases or options for sites housing solar panel installation and/or battery energy storage systems.
I graduated from the University of Exeter in LL.B. Law (First Class Honours) before attaining an LL.M. in Law (specialising in German Civil Law and European Union Law) from the University of Saarland, Germany.
I am extremely passionate about my work and clients, constantly striving to assist them in accomplishing their commercial objectives, delivering pragmatic solutions and easy-to-understand legal advice. I strive to ensure that all players in the transaction are fully informed and regularly updated to facilitate the smooth progression of the matter.
As a former martial arts enthusiast and competitive judoka, outside of office I enjoy swimming, cycling, exercising in the gym and skiing. As a keen traveller and explorer, I have previously spent time in Malta, Sydney and Vancouver working as an English language teacher for non-English speakers. I am a fluent speaker of German and Slovak.

Advising a large landed estate based in Devon in relation to granting an option for lease to a multinational energy developer to create an integrated solar photovoltaic installation (of up to 1.5 Gigawatt capacity) including a battery energy storage system.
Agricultural and Rural Land
Leading on a disposal of large agricultural site (worth over £3mil) in Somerset subject to various occupational tenancies
Advising a governmental body in connection with an acquisition of former agricultural land involving numerous title defects, access issues and negotiating terms of the surrender of a farm business tenancy
Assisting a landed estate client with a refinancing exercise involving complex property due diligence
Advising a large local landowner on the terms of a complex overage agreement
Retail/Office/Light Industrial and Transport Sector
Acting for a landlord client in connection with negotiating the terms of a long-term commercial lease with complex rent review provisions
Assisting a national retailer in connection with lease renewals involving numerous sites whilst negotiating complex break clause, rent review, repair/reinstatement covenant, alterations and other lease provisions
Leading on an acquisition of a freehold industrial site in Cornwall (with secured finance) which included advice on numerous historical contamination and planning issues
Disposal of a mixed use (retail and residential) portfolio subject to a large number of occupational interests
Acting for pension trustee client in connection with acquisition of a light industrial site and subsequent grant of (open market rent) lease to the investor’s company
Residential Development Land
Leading on the disposal of strategic residential land while addressing access and drainage issues and boundary discrepancies
Assisting with a site-set up of a newly built estate (including management company arrangements) and subsequent plot sales
