Overview
I’m an Associate in Michelmores’ Agriculture team, specialising in Natural Capital. More particularly, I focus on Biodiversity Net Gain and Nutrient Neutrality credit deals. I’m also interested in the use of Conservation Covenants as a means of securing positive change in rural land use.
Before joining Michelmores in September 2023, I trained and qualified at City firm Eversheds Sutherland.
Recent experience
Representing a landowner on the sale of nutrient neutrality credits to a developer. This included overseeing the credit sale agreement and securing the client’s land obligations with the local planning authority
Acting for an environmental investor in securing agricultural land for the creation of habitat and the onwards sale of biodiversity credits to third party developers
Assisting in the drafting of a suite of template documents for a sustainable investor looking to capitalise on opportunities within the Natural Capital sector
Advising clients on the drafting of Conservation Covenants – a product of the Environment Act 2021
