Overview
I am a Managing Associate in Michelmores’ Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency team, advising on Banking and Finance transactions.
I have experience acting for banks (both panel and challenger), institutional lenders as well as borrowers by providing advice on acquisition finance, refinancing, structural (including EOT and EBT) refinancing as well as development and bridging finance (both domestically and internationally). Sector wise, I have represented clients operating in the hotel, healthcare, retail, professional services, renewables and impact spaces.
Having recently spent time on secondment with a national bank, I have a deeper understanding of lender processes and procedures which enables me to assist lender and borrower clients efficiently and pragmatically.
Previously based in the South of England and having been named LawNet’s Young Lawyer of the Year in 2016, I joined Michelmores’ London office in 2023.
Recent experience
Advising insurance advisory business Partners& in respect of a circa £90m syndicated facility with Tres Mares and Santander refinance for the purpose of their ongoing acquisition trail
Acting for an investment fund providing debt funding for a variety of solar farm acquisitions and developments across the UK
Supporting the corporate team in respect of the debt side VC investment in a tech company
Advising a borrower in respect of a proposed £10,000,000 commitment (comprised of a term loan and RCF) from Barclays Bank plc to a national ethical clothing brand
Advising a bank in respect of its circa £10m lend to an Eco-Hotel for the purposes of additional sustainability retrofit and improvements as well as expansion plans
Acting for an investment fund in respect of the funding to a telecommunications group of circa £20,000,000 for the purposes of further acquisition
Acting for an impact lender on a debt facility to an East African funding platform
Advising a French owned SPV in respect of its £18,000,000 bilateral development facility from Triodos Bank to fund the development of a 34MWp solar site
