Overview

I am a Partner in the Tax, Trusts & Succession team and joined Michelmores in 2017 after working at Clarke Willmott for the previous 13 years.

I assist executors and administrators with the administration of high net worth and complex estates frequently with foreign or contentious elements. Often these administrations also involve negotiations with HM Revenue & Customs over the payment of Inheritance Tax and specialist advice in claiming the relevant exemptions and reliefs. I have expertise in Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief and am experienced in assisting personal representatives of large landed estates. I also have niche expertise in dealing with estates with charitable elements and understands the reporting requirements charities need to meet in their capacity as beneficiaries, executors or administrators. I head up a bespoke private wealth sub-team at Michelmores whose primary focus is on expertise in probate matters both nationally and internationally and as such Michelmores have a strong and solid offering in this area.

Breaking new ground in 135 years of Michelmores history I am the first Chartered Legal Executive to become a Partner at Michelmores. I am keen to focus on “home growing” talent here at Michelmores and to support people who may need to, or choose to, take an alternative route into law.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my two boys and my husband, mountain biking and taking long walks in the beautiful West Country (with an obligatory pub stop enroute of course!).
