Overview
I am Deputy Head of the Governance & Risk team and assist with advising the Firm on its risk and compliance obligations. I work closely with the legal and business service teams to provide guidance on risk mitigation and compliance queries.
Prior to joining Michelmores, I was the Risk and Compliance manager of a local law firm. Before my move to an in-house risk team I practised as a real estate lawyer with a focus on residential development site acquisition and sales.
Recent experience
Advising on anti-money laundering, conflicts, SRA regulations, and general risk and compliance control and mitigation.
Leading on delivery of client and matter intake software project
Leading on the establishment of a centralised client onboarding team
Assisting with the delivery of a new practice management system
Leading on CQS and Lexcel accreditation management
Leading on policy and process design and implementation
