UK law firm, Michelmores has launched a new programme, co-ordinated by social mobility facilitator VisionPath to create opportunities for disadvantaged students in the south west.
‘Momentum’ will focus on building career skills, experiences and mentor opportunities for pupils at St Luke’s and Exeter College in Exeter, and St Katherines in Bristol who have each partnered with Michelmores for the programme.
Kim Tomlinson, Head of HR at Michelmores said:
We’re really excited to launch Momentum. A focus of our approach to inclusion is to build a socially diverse, early careers pipeline to widen access to law, support social mobility and create opportunities for colleagues across the firm to have a positive impact in our local communities. This new programme is an important step towards furthering our ambitions when it comes to diversity and inclusivity.
The launch of Momentum coincides with the 10th National Inclusion Week when organisations across the UK come together to learn about and celebrate inclusive culture. Michelmores will be marking the awareness week with a series of webinars, and bringing its people together for interactive activities that aim to enhance and grow a sense of belonging across the firm, and strengthen its culture of continual improvement.
