Michelmores is pleased to announce that it has advised Partners& on its latest strategic expansion, including the acquisition of 3 Dimensional Insurance Ltd, providing Partners& with direct access to the Lloyd’s market, alongside the separate acquisition of Avenue Insurance Partners, which includes its debt recovery business Ko-bolt International.
The Michelmores team advising on the deal was led by Corporate Partner Adam Kean alongside Angharad Doyle (Managing Associate, Corporate), Ben Adams (Senior Associate, Corporate), Harry Jones (Associate, Corporate), Philippa Kean (Paralegal, Corporate), Sam Kewellhampton (Senior Associate, Regulatory), Matt Warren (Senior Associate, Employment), Jonny Lane (Senior Associate, Real Estate) and Cathy Bryant (Partner, Tax).
Commenting on the transaction, Phil Barton, Group CEO at Partners&, said: “Shaun and I have worked together for many years, and similarly I have built a strong and trusted relationship with Michelmores over a long period. Their understanding of our business, coupled with the consistently high level of commercial, pragmatic support they provide, makes them an invaluable partner on transactions of this nature. Delivering a double acquisition requires precision, pace and clear communication, and Adam and the Michelmores team once again demonstrated all of these qualities. Their guidance has been instrumental in helping us continue delivering our strategic growth ambitions.”
Adam Kean comments: “We’re delighted to have supported Partners& on this significant double transaction. The acquisitions of 3 Dimensional Insurance and Avenue Insurance Partners align perfectly with Partners&’s strategy of broadening its multi-faceted insurance offering and strengthening its UK platform. We have advised Phil and the team for a number of years and it has been a pleasure to work with them again. Their clarity of purpose, commitment to their clients and ambition for growth make them an exciting business to support, and we look forward to continuing our relationship as they expand further.”
This double acquisition marks another milestone in what has been a sustained and ambitious growth programme for Partners&. Over the past 18 months, Michelmores has advised Partners& on approximately 16 acquisitions, continuing to support the firm to build on its strategy to broaden its sector expertise and extend its geographical footprint. Notable transactions within that period include a quadruple acquisition in July 2024 of Switch Health, SEP Insurance, Halo Consulting and Nahla Limited, supported by Michelmores. In early 2025, Partners& acquired Glasgow-based Blackford Group and Tunbridge Wells-based Directors & Professionals, followed most recently by its purchase of Nottingham-based commercial broker Pargeter & Associates.
