Michelmores’ London corporate team has advised Leyton Orient football club owner Leyton Orient Holdings Limited and Francesco Becchetti on the sale of the club to business consortium Eagle Investments 2017 Limited, headed by British-born Nigel Travis, the Chairman and CEO of Dunkin’ Brands Inc.

First established in London in 1881, Leyton Orient was acquired by Mr Becchetti in 2014.

The Michelmores team was led by corporate partner Ian Binnie and corporate associate Edwin Richards. This is the second football-related transaction involving the Michelmores London corporate team – following on from their role late last year in the UK Takeover Code-compliant mandatory offer by Trillion Trophy Asia for Birmingham City plc.
