Michelmores expands its Contentious Probate team in London with three new hires

Michelmores has appointed two new Partners, Alexa Payet and Natasha McKeever, to its London-based Contentious Probate team.

Alexa and Natasha’s arrival further strengthens Michelmores’ highly ranked Contentious Probate team, following the appointment of Associate Emma Bryson in October 2023. All three lawyers have moved to Michelmores from Bolt Burdon Solicitors, joining existing London-based team member Emily Peacock.

Alexa acts for a wide range of clients based nationally and internationally as a specialist trusts and estates litigator. She has particular expertise in disputes focusing on trust and probate claims, and contentious Court of Protection matters.

Natasha regularly advises on multi-million-pound estates involving assets in various jurisdictions. She specialises in Will challenges and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act (1975), including those with domicile issues.

The three appointments reflect the growth and breadth of Michelmores’ nationally recognised Contentious Probate team, which advises across disputed Wills, trusts and legacies, across the UK and internationally.

Tony Cockayne, Partner and head of the Contentious Probate team at Michelmores, comments:

We are delighted to welcome Alexa, Natasha and Emma to our Contentious Probate team, which is renowned for its diligence, success, and ability to advise on the most complex disputes.

Their combined range of expertise and experience will bolster our client offering in London and nationally, as well as support our Firm’s strategic growth plans.”
