I am an Associate in Michelmores’ Planning Team and I advise on a broad range of planning and highways matters with a particular focus on the residential development sector.
I have extensive experience drafting and negotiating section 106 planning agreements for commercial and residential developments. My expertise includes acting for housebuilders, developers, landowners, public sector bodies and local authorities. My experience working “on both sides of the fence” means I am well versed in navigating the complexities of section 106 agreements including obligations for affordable housing, open space and biodiversity net gain.
My expertise extends to dealing with infrastructure agreements for highways and sewer adoptions, stopping-up orders, certificate of lawfulness applications, changes of use and planning due diligence in respect of complex transactions, including the acquisition of Renewable Energy sites.
In my spare time, I am a Director of a small property development business. I am passionate about the importance good planning, design, architecture and the consideration of environmental impact.
Advising a public sector client on numerous complex infrastructure agreements for the redevelopment of a hospital site;
Supporting Michelmores’ Corporate Team with planning due diligence on Renewable Energy projects, including hydro projects and large scale solar sites;
Advising national house builders in respect of complex section 106 planning agreements including obligations for discount market dwellings, biodiversity net gain, open space and the delivery of infrastructure;
Advising a public sector client in relation to stopping up a prominent piece of highways land in the South West;
