I am a Solicitor in the Transactional Real Estate team, based in Exeter.
My experience is diverse and includes work within both the private and public sector. I regularly advise private and commercial clients, landed estates, national house builders, police forces, central and non-ministerial government departments, and non-departmental public bodies.
In the private sector, I provide support on a broad range of matters which primarily involve commercial, agricultural and development land. Recently, I have provided support on the structure and delivery of several strategic land, sustainable development, and infrastructure projects.
In the public sector, my experience includes handling acquisitions, disposals, tenancies and a range of other development and asset management matters. I work closely with Richard Honey (Partner, Head of the Asset Management team) and together we negotiate complex, high value, and often politically sensitive projects for the Mayor’s Officer for Policing and Crime.
I trained and qualified at Michelmores and am admitted to practice in England and Wales.
Advising the Mayor’s Officer for Policing and Crime in connection with the disposal of vacant commercial properties and former police stations, allowing much needed funds to be injected into the delivery of policing in London
Structuring the grant of a complex option to National Rail that will enable the construction and delivery of a new passenger and freight rail line in Bristol, together with a package of conservation gains in the adjoining woodland
Advising the Forestry Commission in connection with a new Conservation Grazing structure that will help to facilitate the management of forests and woodland across England
Assisting Adam Corbin (Partner, Agriculture) to deliver an EU funded partnership project between a large, landed estate (based in Devon) and the Environment Agency, designed to adapt and enhance the downstream section of a river and its estuary, in order to both protect the coast from extreme storm and rainfall events and increase the biodiversity of the site for future generations
Working as part of a large Michelmores team, appointed to provide specialist advice in respect of a substantial redevelopment of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children
