Malcolm is a Partner at Michelmores. He was the Firm's Managing Partner from 2008 until 2018.
Malcolm is now leading the Firm's international strategy.
He joined Michelmores in 1989. Prior to that, Malcolm trained as a Solicitor in the City, and then became a legal adviser at the American multi-national, Gillette, providing legal advice on a wide range of matters throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Malcolm has advised on all forms of corporate finance work relating to mergers and acquisitions, and a broad range of corporate and commercial work. He was appointed Managing Partner in 2008, and before that was Head of the Business Group.
Malcolm, in his capacity as Managing Partner, was responsible for implementation of the Firm's strategy, and in 2015 launched the Firm's five year strategy, known as Ambition 2020. Under Malcolm's leadership as Managing Partner, the Firm grew its turnover from £11m to £37.5m (240%).

- Growing the international reach of the Firm, with a particular emphasis on Africa, China and emerging markets.
- Leading the Firm's opening of its London and Bristol offices.
- Setting up of YangTze Law, the first Chinese owned UK regulated law firm.
