Michelmores Charity Run

Michelmores raises money for charity with 22nd 5K Charity Run

The Michelmores 5K Charity Run 2023 returned on Thursday 7 September, welcoming over 550 participants, as well as volunteers and supporters to its iconic venue – the picturesque grounds of Powderham Castle.

We are proud to announce that we raised an impressive £16,196.94 for our charity partner. The event, which has raised more than £380,000 in its 22-year history so far, was this year held in aid of Michelmores’ charity partner, FearFree, who are working to break the cycle of abuse across the South West.

The Race was hosted by Charles Courtenay who is a Partner at Michelmores.

This year’s charity run had an emphasis on sustainability and wellbeing as it brought colleagues, friends and families together in the leafy surrounds of the Powderham Castle Estate’s deer park. Participants were encouraged to wear an ‘old’ Michelmores 5K event T-shirt and to bring a water bottle from home to refill. Those who finished the run were given a limited edition digital medal and race packs were collected on the day rather than posted.

Louise Edwards, Marketing Director at Michelmores said:

It was great to bring our Charity Run back this year, in aid of FearFree. Thank you to our participants for coming together as an incredible community to raise awareness and funds for the amazing charity. My congratulations to our prize-winners, and to all those who showed their support – from our sponsors and those who donated prizes, to our volunteers and, of course, our runners.”

Giving back to the community is integral to Michelmores’ Firm-wide strategy; it is a crucial part of the Firm’s culture and its people are encouraged to contribute through volunteering and charitable fundraising. Read more about Michelmores’ responsible business commitments here.
