Cornwall students challenged to ‘ThinkBIG’ to win £500 prize for their school

The Cornwall Association of Primary Heads (CAPH), in partnership with the Education team at Michelmores has launched a new competition, ThinkBIG – a ‘Dragons Den’ style contest for primary school children in Cornwall.

ThinkBIG encourages children to come up with innovative ideas on how they would spend £500 to improve one aspect of school life – benefitting the whole school community and solving an existing problem.

The winning entry will receive a £500 prize to implement their idea.

The competition is being run in partnership with the CAPH to promote entrepreneurship, creative thinking, presentation skills and team work among pupils.

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to present their ideas to a panel of judges on Tuesday 22 March at Pool Innovation Centre. The judging panel includes Lex Culver, lawyer at Michelmores, Mel Colton-Dyer, Head of Business Connections and Skills at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Richard Scutt, Manager at Pool Innovation Centre.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 23 March.
