Louisa Ghevaert to speak at the British Fertility Society's Parenting Study Day 2016

Head of Michelmores' Fertility and Parenting team Louisa Ghevaert, is to speak at the Alternative Parenting Study Day, as part of the British Fertility Society's (BFS) Study Week teaching programme, taking place on 10 June 2016.

BFS is a national multidisciplinary organisation representing professionals practising in the field of reproductive medicine. Each year BFS holds a Study Week, hosting teaching days on six certification modules including Pelvic Ultrasound, Embryo Transfer & IUI, Effective Fertility Services, Male Fertility and Preserving Fertility in Cancer and, new for 2016 Alternative Parenting.   

Louisa Ghevaert, a leading expert in surrogacy and fertility law in the UK and internationally will present on the legal aspects of surrogacy as part of the BFS' Parenting Study Day. This Study Day will  highlight the complexity of creating and parenting families conceived through assisted conception, the associated clinical and legal aspects, the importance of counselling and some of the commonly encountered issues in practice.
