I am a Senior Solicitor in Michelmores’ Family team where I have worked for over 20 years.
My practice covers a wide range of areas, from advising people at the outset of their relationships in drafting pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements’ to advising clients when, sadly, their relationships come to an end.
I have experience in advising clients on financial and property issues, including pensions, as well as assisting clients to negotiate child arrangements and to deal with issues of domestic abuse.
My practice covers adoption, domestic surrogacy and parental orders and applications to remove children from the jurisdiction.
When the firm still held a public funding franchise, I represented parents in care proceedings. More recently, this experience has enabled me to represent extended family members on a private basis in seeking to care for their grandchildren or nephews and nieces within the wider family and so avoid adoption outside the family.
I speak fluent French which is helpful in cases involving links with France, particularly where property has been owned abroad.
Acting for a father who, while not the primary carer of his children, was nevertheless actively involved in their upbringing and successfully resisted the mother’s application for a transatlantic move
Acting for the wife in a complex financial case involving issues of conduct, a very short marriage, very young children and unmatched capital contributions
Acting for a client as intervener in care proceedings which involved the detailed analysis and interpretation of reports relating to drug and alcohol consumption, and successfully securing a Special Guardianship Order
Acting for a client in a complex farming case involving the interplay of the matrimonial principles of financial distribution, propriety estoppel and constructive Trusts
