"I have never seen anyone who clients like as much as they do Lorraine. She makes such an impression on people and is very detail-oriented."

Chambers High Net Worth 2022

I’m a Consultant Solicitor in Michelmores’ Trusts, Probate and Capacity Disputes team in London.

My clients are often going through a very difficult period where they do not have closure after the death of a loved one. My aim is to simplify the process and the law, taking some of the stress away from them. I give clear, succinct advice without legal jargon.

My cases frequently have a cross-border element. I’ve led on a broad range of cases ranging in value from £100,000 to £60 million. My clients are just as varied as a result, from all corners of the world, and that’s what keeps the job interesting.

I particularly enjoy advising on disputes relating to art collections as the subject-matter is so interesting and tangible. Other areas that I advise on include: proprietary estoppel claims; variation of trusts; actions relating to trusts and estate administrations; claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975; and capacity disputes – capacity to make lifetime gifts, execute a Will, etc.

I am recognised as a Legal 500 Next Generation Partner and as “Up and Coming” with Chambers High Net Worth for Private Wealth Disputes. I was also ranked as a “Rising Star” in independent legal guide Chambers and won bronze in the “Future Leader – Partner” category of the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2022.
