I am a Senior Associate in the Real Estate team in Exeter.

I specialise in all aspects of residential and mixed-use development as well as strategic land promotion. I work closely with a range of regional and PLC housebuilders, developers, promoters and landowners. My day-to-day work covers all aspects of a development’s life-cycle from site identification and promotion, to acquisition and joint ventures and finally disposals of completed phases or individual units. Much of my focus is placed on greenfield sites but I also have wide experience in urban regeneration schemes and masterplanning.

I’m fortunate to work alongside some of the country’s leading housebuilders as well as notable regional developers in the South West. I also advise private individuals in relation to the promotion and sale of their land. Such a broad client mix helps me to understand the respective interests and commercial drivers from all stakeholders in the development process, which I consider to be crucial in getting deals done. Wherever possible I seek to add value to my client’s businesses by being ‘part of the team’ rather than just a legal adviser.

I’m extremely passionate about the housebuilding industry and its role in helping to get young people onto the property ladder through the provision of high-quality affordable homes, together with its potential to deliver greener communities and infrastructure. Playing a part in that process is something I’m very proud of.

Outside of the office, I am a keen cricketer, lifelong Exeter City fan, huge foodie and devoted best friend to my golden Labrador, Nelly.
