Philip is an Associate (FCILEx), and a key member of the Projects team.
He joined Michelmores in 1999 as a PFI/PPP specialist lawyer, advising Government departments and agencies on a broad range of PFI/PPP projects. Prior to that, Philip was an Assistant Group Director in the Treasury Solicitor's Department (subsequently Government Property Lawyers), dealing with land, planning and procurement issues arising from Government projects.
Philip has particular expertise in property planning and procurement issues.
- Advising the Government on the sale of Chelsea Barracks for £959M, which at the time, was the highest value property sale ever seen in London.
- Advising on the disposal of Project MoDEL properties, which comprised the disposal of 5 military establishments within the M25 with the proceeds being used to develop a major airfield through a PPP style structure.
- Commercial Court for Justice following a competition, a project to provide a suitable site, develop and then Lease to Government of a Building for a new Commercial Court in Central London.
