Harriet Grimes


Harriet is an Associate in the Planning team and specialises in section 106 planning agreements and infrastructure agreements including drainage and highways. She has particular expertise dealing with highways matters. She has experience dealing with a wide range of clients including developers, national house builders, local authorities, housing associations and landowners.

Harriet graduated from Bristol Law School with a first class honours degree in Law (LLB) and qualified as a Solicitor in 2015. 

Harriet provides planning support to a number of our teams across the firm, including our Residential Development and Strategic Land team in relation to acquisitions of residential development sites and our Corporate team, in relation to acquisitions of Renewable Energy sites.

Recent Experience

  • Preparation and negotiation of S106 and S106A planning obligation Agreements acting for developer and local authority clients;
  • Preparation and negotiation of numerous highways agreements (including S38, S278, S228) acting for developer and local authority clients;
  • Supporting Michelmores' corporate team with planning due diligence on Renewable Energy projects, including hydro projects and large scale solar sites; and
  • Supporting lead Partner Mark Howard with a high profile compulsory purchase order for a public sector client.
